Swampfox sentinel problems.
Oct 30, 2023 · Swampfox sent a second Sentinel II out for me to take a look at and RMA’d the first unit, but side-by-side, the fish-eye effect is identical. While it isn’t a significant problem, it is noticeable and worse at shorter distances. Outside of about 7 yards, it's less noticeable and doesn't get in the way. Once I got over it, shooting was good.
I was just going to get the plate for my hellcat pro (Springfield tards) can't make a dang normal footprint, and get the Holosun 407k rmsc but I thought I'd try the manual sentinel shake awake. It was much better. The glass on the swampfox could be better, it catches a glare and the emmiter is a little fuzzy but overall it seems to work well. The Swampfox Sentinel will NOT break under recoil. Now for the other question, you will have to contact Swampfox directly to see if they have updated/upgraded the Sentinel to make it more rugged. As I have stated I have dropped mine several times and the only damage was some very minor scratches on the Ironside shield. In order to save battery, Swampfox states "In very low light conditions Sentinel-A’s dot will become very difficult or impossible to see." I agree with their assessment, I cannot pickup the dot at all in low light settings.
