If you plan to become a notary public in California, you’ll need to take the California Notary Exam, practice test. This test simulator has 45 questions, and you have 60 minutes to complete this test. Keep in mind this test does not contain exactly the same questions you will have on your exam (this is against the law), but they are very similar. The California Notary exam is a multiple choice exam with 45 questions with a 70% passing rate. Applicants will have to answer 33 questions correctly to pass the exam and can appear only once in a calendar month in case they do not pass the exam.
