My quick take: yes CEMU is more mature but it also happens to just run better on the deck compared to YUZU. Maybe YUZU developments will close the gap but who knows. On the graphics piece - there’s not a ton of power left after running BOTW on any of the emulators to make it look THAT much different on steam deck compared to the switch.

Yuzu has a known issue on the Deck with BOTW meaning it only runs at average 15 fps outside of the cutscenes. As others have said, you should use the Wii U version, as its a lot better, if you turn smt off via power tools and set the manual gpu clock to 1100 you can get close to 40fps on it. 0. Reply. Not sure if it was SteamOS or Yuzu update that fixed it. I did not test all combinations but there definitely was a time where disabling SMT increased performance in Yuzu by a mile. Try setting the "Scaling Filter" within the "Performance" tab of the right side menu to "FSR". You should immediately see an improvement.
