The other issue is on occasion when we put the Forester in reverse, the light on the info screen for the rear braking doesn't come on, and the dash actually says "RAB Disabled". It doesn't go away until the car is driven for a bit or turned off. Putting it back into park the into reverse again, etc doesn't fix it. I can't say whether the two are directly related, but I have only noticed this happening when the ice warning is displayed.
