Get a decent AR. Aside from PSA using their first gen firearms and their users as the beta test, the $$ to quality ratio is better for a standard ar. Aftermarket parts are more plentiful. I personally think a SCAR or any other non ar rifle are neat, but an ar15 is the ideal starter. They are great, they are proven, and you won't be disappointed.
