On 2019's the E-Throttle is on the 1000 models only. The 650/850 is a cable driven system. Mine is the same, trails are a mix of acceleration and engine braking from one extreme to the other, and this is how can am's are. Practice with the throttle and learning to feather it and control it has helped me to remove this as an issue.

The Outlander Pro HD7 has a good looking spec sheet with the extra towing capacity but I am concerned about the reliability (or lack therof). Local dealer has 23' Kodiak 700 base for $7,500 and the Outlander Pro HD7 for $8,200. Add a couple grand out the door. The other half of my decision is EPS vs non-EPS.
