Atlanta Track Club in partnership with Global Athletics & Marketing, Inc., announced the inaugural adidas Atlanta City Games to be held in Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday, May 6.Peachtree Through the Years 1970-2021. On July 4, 1970, 150 runners gathered at the old Sears parking lot on the corner of Peachtree and Roswell Road. Of those runners, 110 finished. The group, now known as the "Original 110," ran 6.2 miles through Atlanta to Central City Park in what would go down in history as the inaugural Peachtree Road Race. Atlanta Track Club is a non-profit, running organization for the Atlanta metropolitan area in Georgia, United States. It hosts over 30 events a year including the Thanksgiving Day Atlanta Half Marathon/5K and the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Atlanta Track Club was established in 1964 and is the second largest running organization in the United States. This event offers something for the whole family, runners and walkers alike, including a 5K, Mile and Dash. All participants have the opportunity to finish on the field of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and 100% of the proceeds go to MADD Georgia.
