There is no way for them to tell if you’ve unplugged the device unless the device has a physical indicator on it itself, like a seal on a pill bottle. I had snap shot used it for 10 trips to get my rating, unplugged it and never plugged it back in and it didn’t raise any alarms. I would imagine you’d be pretty safe.
