Defense probably deserves at least a 3 and not a 2 for any kineticist. 18 Con on a 8+Con class is almost always at least a 20% health increase relative to any other 8+Con class. They also get martial scaling light armor. A kineticist really should only be 1-2 AC below most martials. The 20% health pool buff is roughly worth between 1 and 2 AC.
