The little manual says when roughly adjusting it for the first time, adjust the laser so it's just above the front sight at 30' (if I recall). Then, at the range, adjust it to the middle of shot grouping.the SAS and sights were a good idea executed poorly. They are a complete change from traditional sights and will cover half of your sight picture. And the lack of tritium makes them completely worthless and unusable if your in a low/no light situation.
