Civ 3 is the one I've put the most hours into. Civ 4 was probably the best, but I didn't have time in my life at the point to put into gaming in general. Civ 5 was great too, I put a lot of hours into it. Overall though, the game was too easy compared to the older ones. Especially with the lack of unit stacking, it's so easy to exploit the AIs ...But even without that expensive accessory, controls are comfortable to use.
