If it were mine, i would run new line from the front to the rear for both the supply and the return lines. As well as the brake line, cause once you start messing with them, they will just start leaking somewhere else. I own a 93 YJ and a 99TJ, YJ's have a regulator on at the fuel rail with the return going back to the tank and TJ's have a single feed line with all regulation in the tank as part of the sending unit.

The jeep system is a weird blend of a return and returnless system, but its actually a return system, where the FPR is inside the tank, along with the return line and the feed line goes to the engine.
