Oct 10, 2023 · Once you reach Baldur’s Gate 3’s grand finale, you must Confront the Elder Brain. It is the source of the Mindflayer scourge, and you must defeat it to return the world to its peaceful days. The only remaining quests in my playthrough are the final quest to confront the Elder Brain and Gale and Lae'zel's companion quests. I always keep Lae'zel by my side but should I also bring Gale to the final confrontation to see the ending of his quest or do you still see the same cutscenes etc with him? I normally don't really use him. You will confront the Elder Brain and get to use some stat checks. While the first check will be a 20, the next two are 25 and 30. The final check is a 99 which is almost impossible to pass ... You can reach it by climbing a ladder, but the door is locked. To open it, you can burst through, lockpick, or convince the survivors to open the door for you. No matter what you choose, they'll rush past you. The real prize is in a chest through a second door in the tower that contains a Potion of Superior Healing.
