I'm doing a dagger run too and have found impaling thrust to be quite nice. For tankier enemies it takes about 4 hits of it (less for bigger weapons) but it comes out a lot faster since it was buffed and has a really low cost.

Transient Moonlight is an obvious one. Flame of the Redmanes is probably a bit better in regard to poise damage. Some roars instantly stagger most enemies (I can only think of Troll's Roar atm).
