It got locked last April and BofA is adamant that EDD closed it. I spent months running around with EDD to verify my identity, called them several times after to manually unlock it, and nothing happened. I have called the fraud department/customer protection at BofA and they told me the same thing, that it was EDD who locked my account.

Contact BOA directly about closing the account. They told me that CA EDD had to close the account. 2. Call CA EDD and try to close the account. System hung up on me because there were too many people trying to call at the same time. 3. Close the account via EED online system. I couldn't find anything of value here.
