Recently purchased a pontoon with an outboard. It has a center toon that covers about the back 1/3 of the boat. I imagine is is to offset the weight of the engine and help maintain a level boat. My question is this, should the circled hole be plugged? The previous owner never plugged it and the top is entirely open. Just seems odd.
