Sep 6, 2023 · Over on Reddit, we've seen multiple people describe a bug that relates to "The Den" station and swapping your ship while you're there. The post is now warning others to "NOT board enemy ships to capture them and bring them back to port to sell", as the result is that your ship can become invisible and certain other features can go missing too.

There is a way around this bug, where NPCs seem to be stuck in some hidey-hole, without using console commands. First use the Sense Star Stuff power and look up and down the ship. The funny thing about the ship with 950 shields, it has a 1600 generator. Like, it should never be below 1600. The inherent problem, even if you can dup your ship is when you get the unique ship components. The ship you put them on could get hit with this bug and you basically have to deal with gimped shields or losing your unique equipment.
