Would be great to hear all the good and bads. Honestly, if I were you I’d look at shop crafts. I work for BNSF in a diesel shop.At least at BNSF becoming an engineer is considered a printing and they make more. Lastly, it also depends on how much you work. You can do the bare minimum to keep a job and make less or never lay off and bid busier pools to work constantly and make more. All that said, $300k+ a year seems unachievable as a conductor or even as an engineer.
