When you start your own kingdom you need to be ready to fight wars like a madman. Have companions able to field armies for you for a bit until you get some lords that come to your side. Once they do you can give them a fief each and they’ll start fielding armies. Make good friends with as many lords as possible before you decide to split.

Apr 17, 2020 · There's a couple things you need to do first. 1 is make sure you have a govener lined up (must be same faction) because the town is going to be in rough shape after the siege. 2 is make friends with all surrounding factions. 3 is set up caravans ASAP to help your town grow. Here's what I did.

Yes, it helps build up relations in your own kingdom, but the easiest way is joining an army or beating an army and freeing them as a prisoner. War is the best way to build relations. Your siblings will level up very quickly and you'll have an additional 150-300 force. When you create your kingdom, select all policies that can boost your troops count, like Royal Guard for example. You can gather a force of 300 yourself. Hire some more mercenaries and you have enough troops to deal with a small to medium size kingdom.
